Procession and Pageantry

All foot combatants are encouraged to participate in the procession Saturday morning (alongside the equestrian and archery tourneyers) and to secure the services of a herald to introduce them to the judges and populace.

The format for the tournaments of foot are still being determined for Emprise IX. Here are the scenarios from Emprise VIII:

Barrier Pas D'Armes

The Barrier Pas D'Armes will be fought with great weapons, with combatants separated by a hay bale barrier.

Over-Under 30 Melee

The Over-Under 30 Melee will also be fought with combatants separated by a hay bale barrier.

Counted Blow Pas D'Armes

The counted blow Pas D'Armes will be fought without a barrier. This will be a prize tournament, with the prize being a Chinese Tea Set brought back from China by Sir Rapheal the Rogue.

Emprise Pas D'Armes

5 blows as counted by our esteemed Judges. This tournament will be a round robin, fought with single sword and no shield.
