Archery Tournaments

Our Tournaments of Fletch all harken back to the age of the Longbow, embracing several period shoots. Period targets only will be used on Saturday.

Ring Shoot

Shoot at progressively smaller rings each round, honing your skill upon the center!

Wand Shoot

Loose your arrows upon the 6' tall wand from greater distances, striving for the mark.

Target Shoot

Not on your typical modern target but something more challenging.

Best of Center

Compete against your fellow archers and see who can empty their quiver first!

Popinjay Shoot

Knock the birds off of their post!

York Round (Sunday)

The infield of the racetrack is large and will host the York Round's 100 yard range. Walk and shoot with your compatriots in this test of accuracy and endurance.

The victor of Saturday's the tournaments of fletch will be awarded by the judges.

Period archery equipment is not required but is encouraged.

Loaner Gear

If you would like to shoot but do not yet have your own gear, some loaner gear will be available but only if you alert our Archery Marshal in-charge ahead of the event. Please e-mail HL Ismenia Wystan before the event to arrange for a loan of archery equipment.
