Jousting Tournament at May Crown

Very noble equestrians of An Tir and beyond, the very noble members of the Madrone Equestrian Guild have charged me as their Steward to deliver this message to you, on account of the great chivalry and prowess that the guild has seen in your noble persons.

In all love and friendship, and not out of any ill will, the Madrone Equestrian Guild challenges all authorized jousters to attend May Crown and join with the Madrone Equestrian Guild in a jousting tournament, to be held on the 19th of May in Toppenish, Washington.

Let all SCA equestrians authorized for the joust, from throughout An Tir and all other kingdoms, know that the jousters of the Madrone Equestrian Guild will be ready to meet in honorable combat all comers who wish to participate in this very noble tourney. All jousters are encouraged to bring their lances, crests, appropriate armor, and horses covered with the arms of the noble tourneyers, as is the ancient custom.

It is our goal that the tournament will take place in such a way that fame and widespread rumor will go out to sustain nobility and increase honor, so that, if it pleases them, every rider will wish from thenceforward to practice the exercise of jousting more often.

So pray, do not refuse, for much good may come of it.
